GMTC Guide

Note: The information below (and the guide) are subject to change as a result of recent suggestions by BSI on the revision to BS 6121 (current editions).

A new edition of the Guide will be published in mid-2005 to align with the standards as eventually published.

The GMTC has published the Guide because the new EN50262 standard is not aimed at users. It is a manufacturing standard based on minimum safety requirements and performance rather than being a blueprint, as was the old BS6121. EN50262 replaces the majority of BS6121. Three new parts of BS6121 will replace content which would otherwise be lost.

Part 3 of the new BS6121 will be aimed at users.
